Crenshaw's is one of the oldest private gymnastic and swimming studios in the United States. Opening in 1951, Crenshaw's has grown into a unique facility that offers Gymnastics, Swimming, After School Care, a specialized preschool morning program called Palaestra, Team Competitive Gymnastics, Birthday Parties and a complete Adult Fitness Center. Crenshaw's moved into its present facility in 1984 which is off of Balcones Drive in Northwest Austin near Loop 1 (MoPac). Come Join the Fun!!
Elsass Academy was started in 1986 following the ideas of the Crenshaw Palaestra Preschool Program which was created in the early 1970's. The sister facility of Crenshaw Athletic Club is now in its new location at 831 Houston Street, off of N. Lamar in Central Austin. Children rotate through a myriad of programs including reading and math readiness, arts & crafts, computer lab, games in the indoor gym, creative play and much more. In just a few years, Elsass has risen to the top of Austin's Preschools.
Elsass Westkake was started in 1991 to meet the demand for a strong childcare and preschool education in the Westlake area. The Westlake location follows the same ideals as its sister location in Central Austin. Elsass Westlake is set in a beautiful 2.5 acre campus across the street from Eanes Elementary School. In addition to programs offered by Twin Oaks, the Westlake location has a covered pavilion, a specialized building for our youngest children and a picnic area among the towering oak trees.
